Obituaries June 26th. 2009, 11:24amI really have to wonder if all these fine liberals and feminists would be quite so torn up and appreciative of the man’s GENIUS if the SOB had been molesting little girls instead of little boys.
I could have kept finding posts to link and fill in that linktastic sentence above, but I despaired.

You know, that’s exactly what I thought in response to this: Uh…because his alleged victims are boys, and you’re a feminist? I swear, that blog goes further downhill with each new recruit.

What is your point? It isn’t just liberal feminists who are celebrating the musical career of Michael Jackson while simultaneously being disappointed at the decisions the man has made in his life. It’s a large part of the nation that feels this way. Now, if you really felt that the main issue was “Why is molestation of males not considered as bad as molestation of females?” then fine and well… but I suspect that is not the case, but that you’re just seeking for a reason to insult feminists.

I don’t think Bob meant his comment as an insult to feminists. Rather, had MJ been caught sharing his bed in a loving manner with young girls, he would have been convicted and his career would have been harmed. His Lost Boys persona made his defense that no harm was done, credible in some eyes.

It’s not my intention to INSULT feminists, Sundown – but these are people who have historically been hypersensitive to crimes against girls – mostly rightly, too. The Joe Sixpacks out there writing about MJ don’t have that same track record.
